Women's Lacrosse: Bison Edge Titans
New Wilmington, Pa. – The Bethany College women's lacrosse team faced the Westminster College Titans in a PAC contest Saturday afternoon.
THE BASICS

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Bethany scored the first two goals of the match. Rikiah Wise put the Bison on the board first followed by freshman Abbie Carpenter.
- The Titans cut the lead in half with a goal at the 4:58 mark.
- Rikiah Wise scored her second goal of the match with 3:30 to go in the first period. The Bison led 3-2 after one period of play.
- In the second period the Bison outscored the Titans 4-2, with goals coming off the sticks of Abbie Carpenter, Cassidy Mailloux and Joanna Melita.
- Bethany led 7-4 at the half.
- In the third the Titans battled back to cut the deficit to one, 8-7, but the Bison scored the last three goals of the period to extend the lead, 11-7.
- Bethany held a 15-9 lead with 7:10 to go, but the Titans would not go down without a fight. The Titans scored three goals to cut the lead to 15-12, with 3:21 to go. The Bison defense settled down and held the Titans scoreless for the remainder of the match.

- Rikiah Wise had three goals and one assist.
- Cassidy Mailloux had three goals and one assist.

- Alexa Taylor led the Bison with three assists.
- Trinity Dixon had 16 saves.
