Women's Volleyball: Bison blank Comets in Pam Briggs Classic

BEXLEY, Ohio – Bethany College women's volleyball team opened up the Pam Briggs Classic with a 3-0 victory over Capital University on Friday evening.  

THE MATCHUP

  • Bethany 3, Capital 0 (25-17, 25-18, 25-17)

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Bison earned early momentum as the Comets struggled offensively in the first set. The Green and White were able to hold the Comets to just 29 kills while hitting .173. Bethany found rhythm as each set went on as they finished the third and final set hitting .371 and finished the match with a .272 hit percentage.  

MATCH NOTES

  • Senior Olivia Koehler led the Bison with 12 kills and 14 digs. She hit .241.
  • Asia Crim added 11 digs while serving up one ace and two assists.
  • Riley Felton contributed with nine kills with four aces, four digs and four blocks.

The Bison return to the court on Saturday, Sept. 9 as they face Otterbein and Hanover at 10 am and 12 pm to close out the Pam Briggs Classic.
