Women's Volleyball: Bison sweep Tomcats

BETHANY, W.Va. – The Bethany College women's volleyball team swept the Thiel College Tomcats inside Hummel Field House Thursday evening.

THE MATCHUP

• Bethany 3, Thiel 0 (25-14, 26-24, 25-14)

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Bison held all of the momentum in set one, taking an 11 point win over the Tomcats.
• In set two, the Tomcats battled to keep the set close with the Bison. The Green and White were able to take the win in set two.
• Set three ended much like set one, with Bethany holding all of the momentum.  

MATCH NOTES

• Emma Marthins led the Bison with 11 kilds. She totaled four blocks.
• Asia Crim led the Green and White with 24 digs and three service aces.
• Anna Taylor added three service aces.
• Alaina Torres had 32 assists.
• The Bison hit .250 as a team with 61 digs, 38 kills and 36 assists. They totaled 10 service aces.

The Bison return to the court on Tuesday, Oct. 17 when they travel to Beaver Falls, Pa. to face Geneva College in a PAC matchup at 7 pm.
