Women's Volleyball: Bison swept on last day of Pam Briggs Classic

BEXLEY, Ohio – Bethany College women's volleyball team closed out the Pam Briggs Classic with a pair of losses.

THE MATCHUP

• Otterbein 3, Bethany 0 (25-10, 25-21, 25-21)
• Hanover 3, Bethany 1 (27-25, 25-20, 27-29, 25-23)

HOW IT HAPPENED (MATCH ONE)

Otterbein jumped out to an early lead in the first set, defeating Bethany by 15. The Bison bounced back making the second and final sets competitive but the early deficit was too much to overcome. Olivia Koehler led the Bison with nine kills.

HOW IT HAPPENED (MATCH TWO)
The Bison and Panthers had a back-an-forth battled. The largest lead claimed by either team was three. Hanover took the first two sets. The Bison refused to give up, taking set three, however, the Panthers would regain momentum taking the fourth set.

MATCH NOTES

• Senior Olivia Koehler ended the day with 25 kills and 16 digs.
• In the match against Hanover, Koehler led with 16 kills followed by Riley Felton with 13 and Destiny Goodnight with 10.

The Bison return to the court on Tuesday, Sept. 12 when they host Pitt-Greensburg in a non-conference match at 7 pm inside Hummel Field House.
