BETHANY, W.Va. – For the third straight season, the Bethany College women's volleyball team will make a trip to the Presidents' Athletic Conference championship after defeating third-seeded Allegheny, 3-0, Thursday evening.
THE MATCHUP
- Bethany 3, Allegheny 0 (25-22, 25-21, 25-23)
HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the opening set, the Bison defeated the Gators, 25-22. Both teams battled back and forth and was even at 6-6. The Green and White rallied to take six of the next seven points. The Bison were able to maintain a lead, despite the Gators scoring five in a row.
- The Bison strung together a few runs to take the lead and maintain the momentum in the second set. The Gators kept chomping back and cut the deficit to 22-21.
- Bethany would hold on and take the second set, 25-21.
- Despite trailing by 2-0, the Gators would force the third set to go down to the wire. There were eight lead changes. The Bison were able to pull away and keep a comfortable lead.
MATCH NOTES
- Riley Felton led the Bison with 11 kills and four service aces.
- Emma Marthins added nine kills and five blocks (four solo).
- Defensively, the Bison were led by double-digs by three Bison. Asia Crim led with 20 digs followed by Anna Taylor with 14 and Olivia Koehler with 10.
- Alaina Torres finished with 34 assists.

No. 2 Bethany will travel to Pittsburgh, Pa. to face top-seeded Chatham University in the Presidents' Athletic Conference Volleyball Tournament Saturday evening at 7 pm.
