Baseball Earns All-PAC Nods
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Presidents Athletic Conference has announced the all-conference selections for the 2025 baseball season. The Bethany Bison had multiple athletes honored, including a first-team selection. The last time Bethany has received this honor was in 2019.
Jaden Nestor-Fox was the Bison's first team selection. The transfer finished the season slashing .389/.500/.550, immediately becoming one of the most consistent hitters in the conference. Nestor-Fox reached base in 31 of his 36 games played, a mark that puts him near the top of the conference in production.
Nestor-Fox was top five in the conference in batting average, on base percentage, and OPS to end the year. He led the Bison in all three of those categories plus hits (51), walks (24), and runs scored (37).
The second baseman had a massive boost in his slugging towards the end of the season, taking the home run lead (three) in the final series against Washington and Jefferson. Nestor-Fox also hit double digits in the doubles category (10). His extra bases led to runs, but Nestor-Fox was no stranger to scoring. His 60 runs produced was 29% of Bethany's total runs scored, showcasing how important the lefty's bat was during the year.
Sonny Peluchette was named as a second team all-conference selection. The swiss-army knife did it all for the Bison. He was the most effective pitcher for Bethany with a 3.63 ERA and a 1.33 WHIP. Peluchette has the volume to back it up, leading the team with 13 appearances, 57 innings thrown, and three complete games.
Each one of those complete games were slotted in the win category. Peluchette ended 3-3 on the year, with a 2.00 ERA and 14 strikeouts in those three complete game victories.
Peluchette also did his part with the stick, solidifying himself as a two-way threat. As the Bison's leadoff hitter, Peluchette slashed .355/.426/.444 in 37 games played. He had 44 hits, only trailing Nestor-Fox in said category.
While Peluchette did not post any flashy numbers in the extra-base hit category, he turned plenty of singles into extra bases with his legs. The speedster finished fourth in the PAC in stolen bases with 20 total swiped bags. Plenty of times Peluchette made the full trip home, scoring 29 runs on the year.
This one-two punch of the lineup plans to step in the box again next spring. Both Bison are juniors.
