Softball: Bison Split with Yellow Jackets

Waynesburg, Pa. – The Bethany College softball team traveled to Waynesburg for a double-header contest Sunday afternoon. The Bison split with the Yellow Jackets. Bethany took game one 4-1 and fell 2-0 in game two.

Game One Overview

Bethany defeated Waynesburg, 4-1    

Waynesburg took an early lead after a first inning homerun. Bethany knotted the game after Kathleen Fuchs drove in Paige Allen. A fourth inning triple from Alex Kopec drove in the go ahead run as Bethany took a 2-1 lead. In the sixth, the Bison scored off of a pair of errors to take a 3-1 lead. The Bison added an insurance run in the seventh after Allen swiped home on a pass ball.
