Softball: Bethany Splits with Geneva

Bethany, W.Va – The Bethany College softball team hosted the Geneva College Golden Tornadoes in a PAC doubleheader early Saturday afternoon. The Bison defeated the Golden Tornadoes, 3-2 breaking the Golden Tornadoes 17-game winning streak. Geneva bounced back and defeated Bethany, 2-0.

Game One Overview

Freshman pitcher Josie Wise tossed a complete game, giving up just two runs and striking out three. The game was scoreless through five. Geneva scored two runs in the top of the sixth inning.

In the bottom half of the inning the Bison battled to score. Morgan Huey singled and stole second to get in scoring position. Angela Brandel reached on a Geneva error. Tatum Barrass singled to left field scoring Huey. Madison Andrejcik doubled to right field scoring Brandel and Barrass.

Bethany held the lead in the top of seventh to secure the win.
