Bethany Men's Soccer Selected Eighth In 2015 PAC Preseason Coaches' Poll

Aug. 21 – GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Bethany College men's soccer team was recently selected eighth in the Presidents' Athletic Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll, announced the PAC on Friday afternoon.

The Bison finished just one point behind Waynesburg University for eighth place, totaling 21 points.

Thomas More College was selected as the preseason favorite, as the reigning 2014 PAC Champion tallied 76 points and five first-place votes. Grove City College and Geneva College were selected second and third, respectively, as each tallied two first-place votes. The Wolverines garnered 70 points while the Golden Tornadoes collected 64.

Rounding out the top five, Washington and Jefferson and Westminster tied for fourth place as each team tallied 51 points in the poll.

Along with the PAC Coaches' Poll, a list of players to watch for the 2015 season was released. For the Bison, junior Jack Waters (Epsom, United Kingdom/Glyn School) was picked as a player to watch for the Green & White.   

Waters served as a team captain for Bethany during the 2014 campaign, playing most of his time at midfield. He appeared in all 17 games in his sophomore season, finishing the year with four total points while leading the team in assists (2).

Bethany will open their season on Wednesday, September 2 as they travel to Frostburg, Md. to take on the Bobcats of Frostburg State University. Following two more road games on Friday September 4 and Saturday September 5, the Bison will open their home schedule with a contest against Mount Aloysius. The match at Bison Stadium is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
