ECAC, PAC tab Cirri Rookie of the Week

GREENVILLE, Pa. (Sept. 12) - Bethany College men's soccer freshman Tony Cirri (Eldersburg, Md./Liberty) was selected as both the Eastern College Athletics Conference (ECAC) and the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Rookie of the Week announced the league offices of each organization on Tuesday and Monday afternoons.

Cirri's play helped the Bison go 2-1 last week, with victories over Muskingum and Franciscan. He posted a two-goal effort, including the game-winning goal, in Wednesday's 3-2 win over Muskingum. Cirri converted on a pass from sophomore Mikel Ubeda (Sopelana, Spain/Azkorri) in the 71st-minute of play to prople the Bison to the win. 

Cirri has earned a start in four of Bethany's five matches this season and will look to continue his solid play on Wednesday, September 13 when he and the rest of the Bison men's soccer team takes on Penn State-Behrend for a non-conference match at Hoag Field. The opening kick is set for 4:30 p.m.
