NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. (Oct. 18) - A goal by freshman Mikel Ubeda (Sopelana, Spain/Azkorri) in the 80th-minute helped propel the Bethany College men's soccer team to a 1-0 win over Westminster in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match Wednesday night at Burrey Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Westminster out-shot Bethany 8-to-2 in the first half, but the Bison were able to reverse the course of the match in the second half.
- The Bison were the aggressors in the second period, finishing with 10 shots, including four on net.
- Bethany broke through in the 80th-minute of the match when a free-kick by freshman Jose Lujan (Madrid, Spain/Punta Galea) was headed into the back of the net by Ubeda to give the Bison a 1-0 lead.
- The Titans had a pair of chances near the end of the second half. Freshman goalkeeper Torben Grether (Rheinfeldn, Germany/Georg-Buchner) made a save off of a corner-kick set piece and another shot was blocked before it ever reached the net to help the Bison claim the victory.
MATCH NOTES
- Grether finished the evening with five saves to improve to 6-5-1 overall this season as the team's netminder.
- Bethany was held without a corner-kick attempt, while Westminster was awarded six in the match.
- Shots finished 13-to-12 in favor of the Titans at the conclusion of the night.
