Softball: Morris Earns PAC Rookie of the Week Honors

TRAFFORD, Pa. – Freshman outfielder, Trista Morris (Woodsfield, Ohio/Monroe Central) earned Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Rookie of the Week honors for her performance during week nine of the 2023 season.

Morris finished the week batting .538 (7-13) with three runs scored, three RBIs, one double, three walks and three stolen bases in a 2-2 week for the Bison. In the game-two win over Chatham, she reached base four times with two singles and two walks while stealing two bases and scoring twice. In the 11-10 come-from-behind win in game one against Geneva, Morris had a two-run double and scored once, as Bethany rallied from a 9-0 deficit. In game two, she collected two more hits and stole a base.

The weekly laurel is Morris' first of her career.

The Bison return to the diamond on Thursday, Apr. 27 when they host Franciscan in a PAC doubleheader at 3 pm at Bison Field.
