Softball: Bison and Golden Tornadoes Split PAC Doubleheader

Beaver Falls, Pa. – The Bethany College softball team split with the Geneva College Golden Tornadoes Wednesday afternoon.

Game One Overview

Bethany 9, Geneva 0  

The Bison opened game with by taking a quick 4-0 lead in the first. Jennifer Oberthur hit a two-run homerun to left field extended the Bison lead. In the second inning, the Bison added one more run, leading 5-0. The Bison kept momentum extending their lead 8-0. Lexie Vetter drove in Angela Brandel for the Bison's final run of game one.

Game Two Overview

Geneva 1, Bethany 0

The Golden Tornadoes scored in the bottom of the first to take a 1-0 lead. Geneva shutdown Bethany's offense and held the Bison scoreless in game two.

Bison Leaders

  • Josie Wise pitched 5.0 innings in game one. She gave up two hits, one walk and struck out 8 to earn her 11th win of the season.
  • Jennifer Oberthur had three RBIs on two hits and one run scored in game one.

Bethany College Bison – 13-12, 6-4

Geneva College Golden Tornadoes – 13-11, 3-5
