Botti Nets Career-High as Bison Roll

WAYNESBURG, Pa. - Five players reached double figures as the Bethany College women's basketball team slowly pulled away in the second half to record the 99-77 win over Waynesburg in Presidents' Athletic Conference action inside the Rudy Marisa Fieldhouse.

Sophomore Kate Botti notched a career-high 25 points with a season-high 10 rebounds for her first double-double of the season, and the fourth of her career. Botti added a career-high four blocks in the game.

Senior Lindsey Garrison continued her hot scoring streak with 23 points on 8-of-13 shooting, including 4-of-6 from three-point range.

Junior transfer Kaedlee Potter shot 7-of-9 from the floor for 16 points. She added five rebounds and four assists. Graduate student Bella Skobel tied a season-high with 15 points and senior Ashley Wheeler finished with 10 points.

Bethany used an efficient fourth quarter, scoring 32 points on 12-of-14 shooting, including making all three three-pointers attempted in the final frame. The Bison outscored their host 32-21 in the frame.

While it was the efficiency of the fourth that all coaches searched for, the third quarter witnessed the gradual pulling away for the Green & White. The Bison scored nine of the first 13 points of the third quarter and extended its advantage with a 10-5 spurt.

There were a couple of spurts, 7-0 and 13-5, in the first quarter for the Bison as Bethany led by nine at the end of the first. Waynesburg held the control in the second, outscoring BC27-21.
