Botti Named PAC Player of the Week
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - For the time this season, a Bethany College women's basketball player has been honored by the Presidents' Athletic Conference as sophomore Kate Botti was named the PAC Player of the Week, the league announced today (Monday, December 2, 2024).
"We are proud of Kate's ability to fill up the stat sheet in multiple ways, and she made major contributions on both ends of the floor for us last week," said Bethany Head Coach Mikayla Lopez.
Botti recorded her first double-double of the season with a career-high 25 points and season-high 10 rebounds to go along with four assists, four blocks, nad two assists in the 99-77 victory over Waynesburg. Her four made three-pointers were also a career-high, marking the first time she made more than one three-pointer in a game.
On the season, the forward is averaging 15.0 points per game and 7.7 rebounds per game on 60.0 percent shooting from the floor.
Bethany (3-2 overall, 2-0 PAC) looks for its first 3-0 conference start since the 2006-07 season when the Bison hosts Franciscan 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
