Women's Basketball: Garrison's Career-Night Lifts Bison over Yellow Jackets

Bethany, W.Va. – Freshman guard Lindsey Garrison had a career-high 39 points in Bethany's 72-51 victory over the Waynesburg Yellow Jackets Thursday evening.

GAME FLOW

• Bethany came out of the gates shooting a hot 53.3 percent from the field in the first quarter of play.
• Freshman Lindsey Garrison scored 15 of Bethany's 24 points in the first quarter.
• The Yellow Jackets heated up in the second quarter, outscoring the Bison 21-14.
• Heading into half, Bethany led Waynesburg 38-27.
• Waynesburg nailed a three to cut the Bethany lead to 38-30 for the first field-goal of the second half with 8:15 to go.
• Lindsey Garrison hit an old-fashion three-point play to build the Bison lead back up to double-digits (41-30).
• Junior Sophie Morey and Senior Courtney Walker hit back-to-back shots giving the Bison a 43-31 lead.
• The Bison went on a 19-3 run in the third to build a 57-33 lead with 1:52 to go in the third stanza.
• The Bison led 57-35 after three quarters of play.
• In the fourth, the Bison maintained their commanding lead to win, 72-51.
