Women's Basketball: Bison Fall to Titans on Senior Day

Bethany, W.Va. – The Bethany College women's basketball team celebrated senior day prior to their PAC matchup against the Westminster Titans Saturday afternoon. The Titans used a strong first half to hand the Bison a 57-42 loss.

GAME FLOW

  • Both teams exchanged buckets in the open minute of play. Westminster pulled ahead 12-3 before the Bison scored again. Makenzee Mason knocked in 2-of-2 from the foul line, cutting the Titan lead 12-5.
  • The Tians led 20-13 after one quarter of play.
  • Mason led the Bison off in the second quarter with a three to cut the lead to four, 20-16. The Titans would outscore the Bison 12-7 to take a 32-20 lead heading into halftime.
  • The Bison used a strong third quarter to cut the Titan lead to single digits, 43-37, heading into the fourth quarter.
  • The Titans would go back ahead by double-digits to start the fourth quarter and held the Bison to just five points in the final stanza.

The Bethany Bison clinched the fifth seed in the PAC Tournament and will face #4 Chatham Cougars on Tuesday, February 22 at 5:30 pm in Pittsburgh.
