Bethany, W.Va. – The Bethany College women's basketball entered back in the win column after defeating Thiel College Tomcats 50-30 inside Hummel Field House Wednesday evening.
GAME FLOW
- The Bison pulled ahead 14-0 before the Tomcats hit their first bucket of the game coming at the 1:49 mark in the first stanza.
- Bethany took a narrow 18-7 lead heading into the second stanza.
- Despite cold shooting in the second, the Bison held onto a double-digit lead, 26-16 heading into the half.
- The Bison used an 18 point third quarter to build a commanding lead over the Tomcats leading 44-22 heading into the final stanza.
- Both teams didn't shoot the ball well in the fourth but the Bison were able to hold off the Tomcats and sealed the victory.
IN THE BOX SCORE
- Sophomore Makenzee Mason led the Bison with 17 points and nine rebounds. She shot 8-for-10 from the charity stripe and dished out two assists.
- Senior Courtney Walker added 10 points and freshman Ashleigh Wheeler contributed nine points and three assists.
