BETHANY, W.Va. – Bethany College women's basketball junior Lindsey Garrison set the Bethany College single-game made three-point record hitting 10 threes in Bethany's 89-55 victory over Franciscan University Wednesday evening.
GAME FLOW
- Bethany's Lindsey Garrison hit her first of ten three's to start the game. The Bison took a six point lead after Ashleigh Wheeler drained a three. The Green and White led 12-6 with under six minutes to go. Garrison hit another three with under five minutes to go. Bethany led 15-7. The Barons battled back going on a 9-2 run to close out the first stanza.
- The Bison led 17-16 after one.
- In the second, the Bison extended their lead outscoring the Barons, 17-12. The Green and White took a 34-28 lead heading into the halftime break.
- The Bison offense exploded on the second half. Bethany scored 34 third quarter points and 21 fourth quarter points. The Green and White outscored the Barons, 55-27 in the second half.
IN THE BOX SCORE
- Lindsey Garrison led the Bison with 32 points shooting 11-for-17 from the field and a new Bethany College single-game record, 10-for-15 from behind the arc. She added two steals.
- Alyssa Serensky added 14 points while Ashleigh Wheeler had 13 points and three assists.
- Bella Skobel led the Bison with five assists while Makenzee Mason and Kate Botti had a team high four steals apiece.
- Freshman Josie Stone had a team-high nine rebounds and added nine points.
BY THE NUMBERS
- The Bison shot 47.8 percent from the field while holding the Barons to 35.6 percent.
- Bethany hit 19 three pointers the most since last season when the Bison hit 14 in the win against Geneva. Franciscan went scoreless from behind the arc.
- Franciscan outrebounded Bethany, 43-27.
- The Bison forced 26 turnovers and scored 27 points off the turnovers.
NOTEABLES
- Lindsey Garrison broke her own record that she previously set in her freshman year against PSU-New Kensington when she drained nine threes.
