
Track and Field participates in the Otterbein Invitational

WESTERVILLE, Ohio - Jan. 14 - The Bethany men's Track and Field team participated in the Otterbein Invitational held at the Clements Center on Saturday.
Out of nine schools in attendance, Bethany finished sixth as a team. In total, 17 events were scored.
Senior Andre Butler (Poolesville, Md./Poolesville) finished second in the 200-meter dash and the 400-meter dash. In the 200, he ran a a time of 23.07 seconds, while crossing the tape in the 400 at 51.50 seconds. Byron Mayers (Brownsville, Pa./Brownsville) also ran in the 200, finishing ninth with a time of 24.10 seconds.
Jelani Williams (Jersey City, N.J./Ferris) and Ed Maxwell also ran in the 400. Williams placed fourth with a time of 54.20 seconds, while Maxwell finished eighth with a time of 55.10 seconds.
Sophomore Jordan Hunkins (Zanesville, Ohio/West Muskingum) threw in the men's shot put. He finished eighth with a 12.68 meter throw.
Next up, the Bison will participate in the Denison Invitational next Saturday, January 21 in Granville, Ohio.
