GREENVILLE, Pa. (Feb. 20) – Bethany College men's indoor track & field senior Andre Butler (Poolsville, Md./Poolsville) and freshman Baboucar Sallah-Mohammed (Arlington, Va./Fishburne Military) were named the Presidents' Athletic Conference Track Athlete and Rookie of the Week, respectively, announced the league office.

Butler was named the PAC Track Athlete of the Week after he earned a pair of victories Saturday at the Kenyon Classic, winning the 60-meter dash with a tiem of 7.01 seconds and the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.47 seconds. His effort in the 60 broke his own school record and ranks as the second-fastest time in the PAC this season. Meanwhile, the Maryland native's time in the 200 tops the league's performance list.

Sallah-Mohammed was selected as the PAC Rookie of the Week after he had three top-four finishes Saturday at Kenyon. He claimed first-place in the long jump with a mark of 21 feet, 0.75 inches (6.42 meters), was third in the triple jump with a leap of 40 feet, 8.25 inches (12.40 meters) and tied for fourth in the high jump, clearing five feet, 10.75 inches (1.80 meters).

This is the second-time this season that Butler, the reigning PAC Most Outstanding Indoor Track Athlete, has been named the conference track athlete of the week. He also won the distinction on January 16.

Sallah-Mohammed earns his second laurel of the indoor season, and first rookie award. He was named the field athlete of the week on February 6.

Butler, Sallah-Mohammed and the rest of the Bethany men's indoor track & field team will look to defend their title at the PAC Championships on Thursday, February 23 in Youngstown, Ohio at the Watson and Tressel Training Site. The Bison are the two-time defending champions of the league.
