Bison track & field teams compete at Mount Union Invite

ALLIANCE, Ohio (April 8) - Senior Andre Butler (Poolesville, Md./Poolesville) established an Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) qualifying time in the 200-meter dash, as the Bethany College track & field team's competed at the Mount Union John Homon Invitational Saturday.

Butler crossed the tape at 22.22 seconds in the 200 meters, finishing second overall, while posting a season-best time in the event.

On the women's side, sophomore Patience Frazier (Washington, Pa./Washington) established a season-best mark in the javelin throw with a heave of 35.21 meters (115 feet, six inches) to finish sixth overall.
Freshman Baboucar Sallah-Mohammed (Arlington, Va./Fishburne Military) posted a top-five finish in the long jump with a mark of 6.53 meters (21 feet, five inches) to place fifth overall.

The men's 4x100-meter relay of Butler, Sallah-Mohammed, senior Jalen Holmes (New Castle, Pa./New Castle) and sophomore Byron Mayers (Brownsville, Pa./Brownsville) also crossed the tape with an ECAC qualifying time. The group finished eighth overall witha time of 43.41 seconds.

Meanwhile in the jumps, junior Antonio Rudolph (New Castle, Pa./New Castle) made his outdoor debut this season and finished sixth in the triple jump, placing sixth with a mark of 12.96 meters (42 feet, six inches).

The Bison track & field teams will compete next week Saturday, April 15 when they head to the West Virginia Wesleyan Invitational in Buckhannon, West Virginia.
