ECAC, PAC tab Sallah-Mohammed rookie of the week

DANBURY, Conn. (April 19) - Bethany College freshman Baboucar Sallah-Mohammed (Arlington, Va./Fishburne Military) was namedthe Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III South Region Track & Field Rookie of the Week announced the league on Wednesday.

Sallah-Mohammed, who was named the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Track & Field Rookie of the Week Monday afternoon, finished third in both the long jump (21-2.75, 6.47m) and triple jump (42-4, 12.90m) Friday at West Virginia Wesleyan's Jasmine Claggett Memorial.

His effort in the triple jump currently ranks fifth in the PAC.

This is the fourth weekly laurel from both the ECAC and PAC this year for Sallah-Mohammed. He was a two-time indoor athlete of the week and was tabbed outdoor rookie of the week on March 29.

Sallah-Mohammed and the rest of the Bison track & field teams will host the PAC Quad South Meet on Wednesday afternoon at Bison Stadium.
