Butler, Sallah-Mohammed compete at ECAC Indoor Championships

ITHACA, N.Y. (March 4) – Senior Andre Butler (Poolsville, Md./Poolsville) and freshman Baboucar Sallah-Mohammed (Arlington, Va./Fishburne Military) each competed at the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Indoor Track & Field Championships Friday and Saturday on the campus of Ithaca College.

Sallah-Mohammed took home fourth place in the long jump Friday night with a mark of 22 feet, 5.25 inches (6.84 meters), establishing a new personal-record in the process. He also finished 11th in the high jump on Saturday after clearing six feet, two inches (1.88 meters).

Butler qualified for both the 60-meter and 200-meter dashes at the championships. He earned eighth place in the 200 meters with a time of 22.51 seconds and crossed the tape with the 15th best time in the 60 meters at 7.11 seconds.

Individuals from 48 different ECAC-affliated schools competed in the men's meet.
