What is your current job title and what does the position entail?

Coordinator of Student Activities at the University of Pikeville where I provide guidance and leadership for student government association, campus activities board and also advise student organization.

If you can recall, why did you choose to attend Bethany?

My decision to pick Bethany was I wanted to experience college life away from a big city. I'm originally from Queens New York and most of my high school classmates all went to state or city colleges. Bethany provided me the chance to grow as a student and athlete but also become a leader when I did not think it was possible.

How did your athletic involvement aid in the path that you chose following graduation?

My path to graduation was aided by athletics because of my coach and a body that I had with my teammates. It was so strong that after I graduated and I moved back to New York I became a coach myself at my alma mater high school and then eventually came back to Bethany and coached the throwers of the track and field team.

What would you say were your greatest athletic and academic accomplishments during your time at Bethany?

My greatest athletic accomplishment was coming in second in the PAC for javelin. My greatest academic accomplishment was during that same year maintaining a 3.0 GPA.

What is your most fond memory of Bethany athletics?

My fondest memory of my athletic besides coming in second in javelin was coaching a national qualifier in javelin.

What piece of advice would you have for current Bethany student-athletes?

The piece of advice that I would give a Bethany student athlete is to not allow for the stigma of just being an athlete define you. Get involved so that you are known more than as an athlete.

What was your favorite non-athletics activity at Bethany?

My favorite non-athletic activity at Bethany was being part of the student activities board. It allowed me to what is my passion today and that is being able to provide students with the other engage in things that a college campus can provide. Activities that are not just social but educational.
