Where Are They Now Series - Wayne Zelinsky '89, Football

Wayne Zelinsky '89 continues our "Alumni Where are They Now" series. Wayne was a member of the football team during his four years at Bethany. He earned All-PAC Second Team honors as a junior. Wayne has taken his talents to the skies of Florida where he is a helicopter pilot for the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.

If you can recall, why did you choose to attend Bethany?

Athletic program, overall environment.

How did your athletic involvement aid in the path that you chose following graduation?

Established accountability and work ethic necessary in future employment.

What would you say were your greatest athletic and academic accomplishments during your time at Bethany?

Team Captain ('89), Roy Nola Award winner.

What is your most fond memory of Bethany athletics?

The close friendships and teamwork.

What piece of advice would you have for current Bethany student-athletes?

Be flexible. Change is one constant you can count on.

What was your favorite non-athletics activity at Bethany?

Developing friendships.
