Bethany Places 90 on Presidents' Athletic Conference Academic Honor Roll

Greenville, Pa – Bethany College featured 90 scholar-athletes on the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) 2021 Academic Honor Roll announced by the league office Thursday afternoon.

In response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, 20 of the league's 23 sponsored championship sports were contested during the spring semester.

Leading the way for the Bison first on the women's side was women's basketball (10), women's soccer and volleyball (9), women's lacrosse (5), softball (4) and women's tennis (4). Leading the men were baseball (11), men's soccer (10), football (7), men's lacrosse (6), and men's basketball (2). For the Bison co-ed teams track and field led with 17, followed by cross-country (8) and swimming (4).

A total of 1,305 student-athletes were named to the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Academic Honor Roll for the 2020-21 academic year.

Westminster College led the 10 full-time league schools and two football-only affiliate members with 161 student-athletes earning 2020-21 PAC Academic Honor Roll status. Saint Vincent College was next with 148 and was followed by Washington & Jefferson College (134), Chatham University (120) and Grove City College (120), Waynesburg University (111), Thiel College (108), Franciscan University (98), Bethany College (90) and Geneva College (76).

Carnegie Mellon University and Case Western Reserve University, affiliate members in football, had 84 and 55 student-athletes recognized, respectively.

The PAC Academic Honor Roll recognizes student-athletes on varsity sports teams who have earned a grade-point average (GPA) of 3.6 or higher on a 4.0 scale during their semester of competition.
