Where Are They Now Series - William Kanters '19 - Football

William Kanters '19 continues our "Alumni Where are They Now" series. Will was a four-year member of Bethany's football program. Off the field, he was named to the PAC Academic Honor Roll and was one of 17 PAC student-athletes to be recognized this spring by the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame (NFF) as a member of Hampshire Honor Society. He was named Bethany's PAC Scholar-Athlete of the Year his senior year.

Will took his talents back to Ohio where he works for the Ohio State Highway Patrol as a state trooper. Check out how his experiences at Bethany College led to his career in law enforcement.

What is your current job title and what does the position entail?

Law enforcement in the state of Ohio.

If you can recall, why did you choose to attend Bethany?

Sports, small personable staff.

How did your athletic involvement aid in the path that you chose following graduation?

The team aspect of football translated to the highway patrol.

What would you say were your greatest athletic and academic accomplishments during your time at Bethany?

Four honor societies. New Hampshire football academic team. PAC Male scholarly athlete (Bethany College).

What is your most fond memory of Bethany athletics?

Having the best defense in the PAC.

What piece of advice would you have for current Bethany student-athletes?

GO TO CLASS!

What was your favorite non-athletics activity at Bethany?

Being a part of Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity.
