Where Are They Now Series - Amy Schafer '03, Softball

Amy Schafer '03 continues our "Alumni Where are They Now" series. Amy was an NCAA Division III All-American catcher for the Bethany Softball team. She earned First Team All-Region accolades and was an All-PAC First Team pick (2001-03). In 2002, the Bison compiled a 32-10 record and won the PAC Championship, earning their second-ever bid to the NCAA Tournament. In the 2002 NCAA Tournament, the Bison won the Central Region and advanced to the NCAA Division III World Series for the first time in program history.

Amy finished her career with a .380 batting average, which currently ranks fourth all-time in Bethany history. In 2015, Amy was named to the PAC 60th Anniversary Softball Team and in 2016 she was inducted into the Bethany College Athletic Hall of Fame.

Currently, Amy has taken her talents to PAC opponent, Thiel College where she serves as the Director of Athletics. We caught up with Amy and learned about her experiences at Bethany College and how they inspired her to become an Athletic Administrator.
