Where Are They Now Series - Andrea Precurato '18, Women's Soccer

Andrea Precurato '18 continues our "Alumni Where are They Now" series.  Andrea was a member of the women's soccer team for all four years and ran track for one year during her time at Bethany College.

Since graduating, Andrea has continued her love for soccer, she is currently an assistant women's soccer coach at Liberty High School. When she isn't coaching, she is a social worker at Direction Home of Eastern Ohio.

What is your current job title and what does the position entail?

I am a social worker that works for an insurance company with the goal of providing services in the home for members with disabilities so they can remain independent in their home.

If you can recall, why did you choose to attend Bethany?

I went to visit for soccer and honestly just fell in love with the school.

How did your athletic involvement aid in the path that you chose following graduation?

I think my athletic involvement helped aid my path because it made me more of a leader and I think that stands out in my positions today. I am also still coaching and I believe my experience with athletics at Bethany made me a good candidate for the coaching job I was given a chance with.

What would you say were your greatest athletic and academic accomplishments during your time at Bethany?

Athletically I would say being part of the team that was able to beat Thomas More before they left our conference. Academic wise, graduating Cum Laude and getting to be a department fellow for the social work department.

What is your most fond memory of Bethany athletics?

Literally any time a Bethany team beat Thomas More.

What piece of advice would you have for current Bethany student-athletes?

Advice I would give to current student athletes is to really cherish every minute you get to practice/play/be part of a team. That use to be a classic go to is to cherish your time but as you can see with Covid-19, it can be taken away a lot sooner than expected.

What was your favorite non-athletics activity at Bethany?

Greek Life
